Mr. Nils Boesen is since January 2011 Director of UNDP’s Knowledge, Innovation and Capacity Group, Bureau for Development Policy and has more than 30 years of worldwide development expertise. A specialist in aid methodology development, capacity development, governance and public administration, he has authored numerous articles, guidance notes and major evaluation reports. Mr. Boesen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Theory of Science from the University of Copenhagen, and a Master of Social Science in Development Studies and Public Administration and Economics from Roskilde University in Denmark.
