Greening Sibos
The Greening Sibos project for 2011 has kicked off!
Being socially responsible is a fundamental aspect of our corporate life; reaching out with open hands to those in need, taking concrete steps to leaving a brighter, greener future for the generations that follow – these are the pillars of corporate social responsibility at SWIFT.
Building on the successful initiatives put in place for Sibos 2010 in Amsterdam, this year we’ve raised the bar and will once again be taking some very tangible, pragmatic steps towards making Sibos a more ecologically-sound event.
International Polar Foundation
Our global greening partner, the International Polar Foundation (IPF), will also be present on the SWIFT stand. The International Polar Foundation communicates and educates on polar science and polar research as a way to understand key environmental and climate mechanisms. Through this partnership, we jointly develop awareness campaigns and action plans both internally and towards the financial industry. The first objective is to guide people to a better understanding of our climate, the implications of day-to-day behaviour on climate change and the potential impact of a lack of involvement at personal and community levels.
