This two-day event reflects on the profound impact of regulatory requirements on financial institutions, and debates ways the industry can cooperate to mitigate compliance-related risk and costs.</p> With regulation creating headlines and impacting business and operations, the financial industry continues to seek ways to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of compliance activities. SWIFT is playing a leading collaborative role by organising the Compliance Forum at Sibos. Szubin, Director of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), US Department of the Treasury. Mr Szubin will be introduced by Yawar Shah, Chairman of the Board of Directors, SWIFT.</p> Rich conference programme</h4> During the forum, panel debates and deep-dive sessions will cover such topics as evolution and trends in financial crime compliance regulation, cloud-based data, the role of standards, and the relevance of utilities. Speakers will also address best practices for securing quality, assurance and efficiency in anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions and Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance.</p> For the first time, the Compliance Forum will also include a joint session with the Standards Forum, where panellists will debate how standards could help address financial crime compliance.</p> The Compliance Forum will take place on Tuesday, September 30 and Wednesday, October 1 and is open to all Sibos delegates.
