Protecting our environment
Sibos has contributed to nature conservation projects for many years. This year we’re supporting WWF’s nature restoration project in Krautsand, Germany.
Sustainability is central to Sibos and Swift’s exhibition design. We minimise material use, source locally, and prioritise reusable or recyclable options.
We work closely with exhibitors to support sustainable stand design and encourage thoughtful choices around giveaways, energy use and waste. Exhibitors are encouraged to join the Sibos Sustainability Pledge and can access our carbon footprint calculator and detailed guidelines via the exhibitor portal.
Participants also play a role and are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle, sort waste correctly, and cut paper use by accessing digital publications at our Newscorner.
Our sustainability commitment extends to our catering. We offer fresh, seasonal products from the local region, with 50% plant-based options on the menu and organic produce provided wherever possible. Menus display a carbon score for each dish to support informed choices.
During Sibos week, public transport and walking are strongly encouraged as the preferred modes of travel. This helps reduce carbon emissions, ease local traffic congestion, and support the host city’s sustainability goals.
