Trade and Transaction reporting have had a difficult early childhood. Harvesting data from individual organisations has itself been challenging, but aggregating the data to identify potential adverse situations has proved impossible, in many situations. The Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) is addressing a part of the problem. What lessons can be learned from the LEI experience ?
