Cyber-attacks are not new to the global financial community. Protecting your digital perimeter requires practicing your detection, mitigation, and response plans. This interactive table-top exercise will allow you to experience a real world cyber-attack scenario against a fictitious financial institution. You will interact with industry peers, discussing options and then prioritizing possible countermeasure and response actions. This session, developed and managed by FOX-IT, has been tested in security conferences around the world. It promises to provide an opportunity to learn while also provoking thoughts on what you might do to enhance your institution’s cyber resilience.

During the exercise, participants will be assigned to small groups. Each group will represent a fictitious financial institution that is subjected to a realistic cyber crisis. Session participants will be presented with a series of events and, through group dialog, prioritize response actions given anticipated business impact, risk and cost. The outcome of your decisions will be compared throughout the session to those of other groups in the session to further facilitate learning. No technical expertise or prior experience with cyber-attacks is required.
