Cyber-attacks will demand immediate attention. They often create conflict between actions that need to be taken, the need for additional protection and your institution’s business needs.

This session, based on the Kaspersky Infrastructure Protection Simulation (KIPS) role-playing game, will focus on the role cyber security plays to ensure business continuity and profitability. This opportunity is open to all and will provide a specific benefit to senior business and IT managers whose roles are related to cyber security functions within your organization.

It highlights emerging threats and identifies typical mistakes companies make when applying cyber security countermeasures. The 2 hour simulation encourages a high level participant collaboration while each person assumes business and/or security roles within a fictitious company. Your goal will be to maintain stable operations throughout the cyber threat game play.

During the game, teams will compete to build the most profitable and secure environment for “their company”. A rollercoaster of attack simulations will target this fictitious company and, as a team, you will determine response actions given the anticipated business impact, risk and cost. The outcome of your decisions will be compared throughout the session to those of other groups in the session.

No technical expertise or prior experience with cyber-attacks is required – everybody’s participation in this fun event will help your team win the battle! Feel free to join in this highly interactive session with your industry peers!
