Louella San Juan
Louella San Juan is a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley and Global Head of Client Technologies within Operations Technology. Client Technologies' systems, with over 7,000 users across the Firm, form a consistent set of platforms for Operational control of client servicing activities. Intelligent automation through robotics, machine learning, and advanced analytics are key areas of evolution for, and within, these functions, which include global cash and OTC confirmations, client statements, reconciliations, SWIFT messaging, and enterprise exception management/workflow. Louella has worked at a number of technical roles in Morgan Stanley that include coverage of Settlements, Prime Brokerage, and STP Technology. As part of her personal commitment to increased diversity in technology, Louella is a co-chair of Morgan Stanley's Women In Technology Steering Committee, and a member of Morgan Stanley's Technology Talent Steering Committee. Louella earned her Bachelor's Degree in English, Magna Cum Laude, from Princeton University and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from New York University. Her career prior to joining the Firm spanned both technology and literature, working for technology publishing company Ziff-Davis; former Grove Press publisher Barney Rosset; and the NYU Center for Advanced Technology. Louella has published several works including, most recently, a children's fantasy novel series, The Crowded Kingdom, and as a passionate literacy advocate, is a member Brooklyn Book Festival Board. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two daughters.
