The ICC Banking Commission is pleased to invite you to its traditional industry briefing at SIBOS that will provide an update on the commission’s latest advocacy efforts – including projects and on-going dialogue – as well as an insight into market trends.

The still highly manual and paper-based trade finance business is being greatly affected by digitalisation. The session will examine the various challenges and benefits brought by the advent of digitalisation and the emergence of new technologies in the field of trade finance. We will provide an overview of how universal guidelines and business practices require adaption and present updates from ICC’s working group on digitalisation.

The panel of high-level ICC experts will also discuss findings from this year’s ICC Global Survey: Securing Future Growth and thereby touch upon the current state of the global trade finance gap and developments associated with traditional trade finance and supply chain finance products – all of which will be substantiated by analysis and findings from ICC’s Trade Register.

Topics to be covered:

• Latest news from ICC’s global advocacy efforts and its new strategy
• Update on ICC’s Working Group on Digitalisation in Trade Finance
• Update from ICC’s Regulatory Advocacy Group and the ICC Trade Register
• Update from the latest ICC Global Survey: Securing Future Growth
