Everyone recognises the classic image of the banker going to work - briefcase in one hand, smartphone in the other. Although much has changed in the financial world over the last few decades, the briefcase, albeit in different forms and shapes, has survived as the constant companion of the financial services professional.
At Sibos 2014, an art installation will be created on the exhibition floor using the briefcase as a symbol to highlight the changes and challenges the financial world has faced to date, and will continue to face in the near future. The goal is to trigger debate and dialogue as Sibos is, first and foremost, a networking event.
As first step in this dialogue, we invite you to submit topics which, in your view, should be a part of this installation. Examples could be business-related, such as cybercrime or compliance, but we also welcome more practical suggestions, for example, the banker’s lunchbox. Please send your topic(s) via email to art@sibos.com by Friday 20th June.
We will select nine topics from the suggestions submitted, and publish the selection on www.sibos.com. In the following months, we will keep you informed on the progress of the installation, and you will of course be invited to the opening on Monday 29th September.
