Brussels, 9 September 2015 – Since its successful debut at Sibos Hong Kong in 2009, SWIFT’s Innotribe programme has evolved from an experimental Sibos feature to a pioneering innovation initiative that features a series of global events across the year, including the renowned Innotribe forum at Sibos.
Fabian Vandenreydt, Head of Markets Management, Innotribe and the SWIFT Institute at SWIFT says: “Sibos enables us to directly engage with our community on current innovation activity, emerging trends and potential disruptors of today’s financial ecosystem. FinTech has changed beyond recognition since Innotribe was launched seven years ago and the discussions that drive our programme have been mirroring the wider shifts occurring in financial services.”
From 12-15 October, Innotribe will dedicate each day of its 4-day programme to a particular topic: platforms, society, innovation mind-shift, and machine intelligence. All sessions will take place in the Innotribe Stand (A20), directly adjacent to the SWIFT stand (A50) on the Exhibition floor. Our tagline this year is “the right mix”: we ensured diversity across the different thought-leaders joining us throughout the week: men, women, millennials, investors, accelerators and contrarians.
Peter Vander Auwera, Architect and Content Curator of the Innotribe at Sibos programme explains: “It’s important to say that Innotribe@Sibos is a carefully curated forum that tackles the industry’s burning issues, like the future of money and payments disruption. Five years ago, no one was even talking about FinTech. We have worked hard to create a reputation and demonstrate that there is something truly valuable going on.”
The notable list of experts who will join us throughout the week includes:
Akhtar Badshah, PhD, Chief Catalyst, Catalytic Innovators Group
Mark Buitenhek, Global Head of Transaction Services, ING
Claire Calmejane, Director of Innovation, Lloyds Banking Group
Neal Cross, Chief Innovation Officer, DBS Bank
Christine Duhaime, Founder, Digital Finance Institute
Leda Glyptis, Head of EMEA Innovation Centre, Bank of New York Mellon
Matthias Kroener, Co-Founder, Shareholder and CEO, Fidor Bank
Sopnendu Mohanty, Chief FinTech Officer, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)
Dr. David Nordfors, CEO and Co-Chair, i4j (Innovation for Jobs)
Anju Patwardhan, Group Chief Innovation Officer, Standard Chartered Bank
Scarlett Sieber, Senior Vice President, Open Innovation and Ecosystem Builder, BBVA

In addition to the Future of Money session moving to the main stage (CR2), must attend sessions include:
New kids on the block(chain) platform – Monday 12 October at 10:15Some of the concepts around cryptocurrencies are now gradually moving mainstream, but we are not done yet!
