The 5K run and walk is back for Sibos 2024 Beijing, taking place on Wednesday 23 October. Start your day with a scenic route through the Olympic Forest Park ahead of a packed day of debate, networking and insights.
Sibos 2024 Beijing participants have the opportunity to kickstart a busy day with the Sibos 5K run and walk, sponsored by global payments infrastructure, Wise Platform.
The event is a unique chance to see a different side of Beijing, with a route steeped in Olympic history. A popular feature of the Sibos experience, the 5K run and walk has attracted hundreds of participants in previous years.
The Olympic Forest Park was originally constructed for the 2008 Summer Olympics. The 5K route will take participants through the Southern Garden of the park, past the Aohai Sea, a sculpture garden, gentle waterfall and Yangshan Mountain, offering stunning views of Beijing at sunrise.
A haven of tranquillity within Beijing’s urban landscape, the Olympic Forest Park is dedicated to recreation and creating habitats to support biodiversity. Man-made wetlands and trees in the park help sequester almost 4,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually, while solar panels in the park create over 80,000 kWh of electricity a year.
Julie Ravage, Event Production and Logistics Lead, Swift, said: “Networking is a crucial part of Sibos, and the 5K run and walk is a really fun way to meet new people from the financial services community. It's also a great opportunity to get outside to see a different side to Beijing, and boost both mental and physical wellbeing.”
Note, registration is essential and has now closed.
For all the latest Sibos updates, sign up to the Sibos Insider newsletter and follow us on LinkedIn, X and Instagram!
