We regret that due to unforeseen circumstances, Cathy Freeman will be unable to address our Breakfast Keynote on Thursday 25 October. In her place, we are delighted to confirm that legendary Australian cricketer Steve Waugh will take the session.
Waugh played 168 test matches and 325 one-day internationals for Australia. As captain he led Australia to fifteen of their record sixteen consecutive Test wins, and to victory in the 1999 Cricket World Cup. On retirement, he founded the Steve Waugh Foundation to offer support for children with rare diseases.
Despite being judged a ‘moderately talented’ player, his dedication and determination saw him rise to the top of his chosen field. In our final Breakfast Keynote, he reflects on how to thrive in a high-performance environment.
