At lunchtime each day in Boston, Sibos TV will host a new exhibition event – ‘Sibos Spotlight’. With a well-known industry figure discussing a different issue from 12:30-13:00 each day, the slot is intended to bring Sibos TV directly to delegates, at the heart of conference.
The week’s schedule will offer views and opinions from leading academics and other innovative thinkers on a variety of topics including women in finance, as discussed by Thomas Kirchmaier (Manchester Business School) and Renee Adams (University of New South Wales), financial inclusion presented by Jay Rosengard (Harvard), and a talk on global standards by JoAnne Yates (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
Kicking off the series on Monday will be Claire Cockerton, CEO of Pivotal Innovations (UK) and founder and CEO of a new initiative, Innovate Finance (IF). Cockerton will explain IF’s approach to fintech innovators through its new membership programme. Intended to boost the UK’s reputation as a world-leading community of fintech entrepreneurs, IF has already accumulated over 60 members in just under a year across a variety of sectors, ranging from pre-revenue startups to SMEs and major industry players such as Barclays and IBM.
“Innovate Finance aims to deliver greater consumer choice in banking services, greater diversity and resilience to the market, and greater financial and digital literacy to the general public,” explains Cockerton. “We wish to be a convening platform for the industry and will work across government, academic, investor and corporate communities to create the conditions for a healthy and diverse financial services sector.”
Cockerton will relay her own experiences working across the industry and share some of the key insights she’s gained in doing so.
Simply visit the Sibos TV studio within the exhibition space at lunchtime to participate.
