The Innotribe programme in Beijing once again inspired and challenged the Sibos audience, as thought leaders and innovators from the financial ecosystem and beyond looked ahead to the future.
Since 2009, Innotribe has led discussions across artificial intelligence, digital currencies and the role that technology plays in defining value. Reflecting on the packed programme in Beijing, here are some of the most-viewed sessions now available to watch back on Sibos TV.
Innotribe
China’s next miracle: A different view on innovation
With Beijing playing host to Sibos for the first time, leading tech entrepreneur, business advisor, and author Pascal Coppens explored China’s rapid technological evolution across Asia Pacific.
In this session he shared how China is setting the innovation standard not just for APAC, but for the rest of the world, spearheading advancements in mobile payments, fintech, renewables, transportation, robotics, 5G, AI, quantum computing, and much more.
Innotribe
Digital twins and trusting entities
CEO and founder of the AI Visionary Society, Wan Wei Soh, is a Singaporean tech futurist and expert on all things metaverse, AI, and Web3. She’s passionate about open source, virtual beings and how we can best make AI our ally.
In this inspiring session, she explored the premise of digital twins, the digital copies of ourselves made up of data and code. We want our customers to trust us and the entity we work for, but for this to be realised it demands a multifaceted approach involving both interpersonal interactions and strategic initiatives. However, as we become digital versions of ourselves, and our digital selves become the primary connections to companies, will the existing skills, tools, and methods we have adapt, or become redundant? What will merge to help our digital twin trust more or less than we do?
Innotribe
The Future of Value
The future of value in the Asia Pacific region is characterised by a dynamic blend of traditional cultural values, technological innovation, and evolving economic structures.
In 2024’s flagship Future of Value session, James Lloyd, Senior Director, International, JUSPAY, moderated a discussion with Alvin Foo, tech expert, adviser and investor, and Shrawan (SK) Saraogi, APAC Head of Expansion at Wise. They discussed how the shifting landscape of digital value will change with the rise of new forms of exchange: CBDCs and blockchain. And with increased attention on sustainability and ESG, how should companies and individuals measure value beyond profits?
To watch all these sessions, as well as other video highlights from Sibos 2024 Beijing, visit Sibos TV.
Sibos 2025 Frankfurt will be hosted at Messe Frankfurt from 29 September – 2 October.
