Cybersecurity is one of the main challenges facing today’s financial services industry. It’s a critical concern for all organisations, regardless of size or sector, with cyber attacks demanding immediate attention.
Cyber attacks can create conflict between actions that need to be taken, the need for additional protection and your institution’s business needs.
In response, at Sibos 2017 there will be a number of in-depth sessions to help delegates understand risks and learn more about combatting cyber threats.
While companies have increased their spending on cybersecurity, the best technology alone can’t prevent employees from, knowingly or unknowingly, sharing their credentials, falling victim to social engineering attacks, being impersonated or succumbing to blackmail.
At ‘Inside the insider threats’ (Wednesday 18 October, 9.30), Dr Jessica Barker, a leading expert and media commentator on cybersecurity human factors, will advise delegates on the human and technical measures you can take to better protect your organisation.
Call to action – Beat the cyber threat!
There will also be two interactive workshops, based on the Kaspersky Infrastructure Protection Simulation (KIPS) role-playing game, which will focus on the role cybersecurity plays in ensuring business continuity and profitability.
These workshops are open to all delegates, and will provide a specific benefit to senior business and IT managers, and those working in cybersecurity functions.
During the games, teams will compete to build the most profitable and secure environment for “their company”. A variety of attack simulations will target this fictitious company, and you and your team will determine appropriate response actions.
They will take place on Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 October, between 14:00 and 16:00.
For further details on all of the cyber sessions, visit the programme section on Sibos.com.
