The Sibos social media channels are your first port of call for keeping up-to-date during each day of Sibos. But they also offer an opportunity to join the digital conversation as this year’s conference programme dives into the topics and themes at the forefront of the financial industry. Check out our top tips for making the most of social media during Sibos 2023.
Debate and discuss
If you’re unable to join us in Toronto, you can still take part in debates happening during Sibos week using social media. Our conference programme features world-leading experts discussing some of the most pressing issues in finance, and many of the insights shared continue well after the sessions have ended. Search ‘#Sibos’ on X (formerly Twitter) or LinkedIn to see what participants are talking about and take part in the discussion from wherever you are in the world.
Capture the Sibos spirit
Networking has always been at the core of Sibos, and social media is the perfect way to document your Sibos memories and see other participants’ experiences. We’ll be posting photo highlights every day, and we love seeing participants share their favourite snaps through the week. Whether it’s bumping into someone you haven’t seen in a while around the exhibition or meeting new peers at our dedicated networking events, make sure to share photos and include #Sibos and tag @Sibos on LinkedIn and X (Twitter), or @sibos on Instagram, so the whole community can see and share your Sibos experience.
#LeadTheChange
We want to make Sibos one of the most sustainable global events, led by our #LeadTheChange campaign. This year’s campaign includes the Lead the change village, our dedicated sustainability space featuring organisations that can help your company drive positive change. Visit our charity partner, SickKids Foundation, while you’re in the village to learn more about their work and claim a delicious cookie. Make sure to share any donations you’ve made on social media using #LeadTheChange to encourage other participants to donate too.
The Sibos Talent Accelerator Route (STAR) scholarship is back for Sibos 2023, bringing together 33 women from 13 countries to network and take part in mentoring activities. You can share the blogs they write on Sibos.com to help broaden their profile.
You can also share some snaps of the tasty vegetarian and vegan food on offer in the Sibos Food Hall or share Sibos’ support of the WWF-Canada Seed Orchard Program which seeks to protect biodiversity by increasing the supply of native plants and trees to be used for restoration. Whatever you decide to share, using #LeadTheChange will help encourage participants to be more sustainable and drive positive change in our industry.
#PledgeWithSibos
The Sibos Sustainability Pledge is a new opportunity this year for all Sibos participants to be part of our sustainability journey. You can sign up to the pledge and choose five actions or more from a varied selection of options. Whether it’s using your free public transport pass to get around Toronto or choosing a vegetarian lunch option in the food hall, we encourage you to share the steps you’re taking with the hashtag #PledgeWithSibos. This is a great way to encourage exhibitors and your fellow participants to get involved and ensure we can become more sustainable as a community.
Follow us on LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram to see everything happening in Toronto and engage with the Sibos community.
