Community and networking are front and centre at Sibos, and thousands of participants will have the chance to rekindle old connections and make new ones. This year’s event has a wide range of experiences for you to collaborate and meet with other attendees, as well as relax and reenergise.
New networking spaces
Sibos will be packed with both familiar and new places for participants to develop business relationships, collaborate with others, and socialise with peers from around the globe.
Park spaces will once again feature on the exhibition floor. These give you the chance to take a seat and network and connect with other participants. Each park incorporates a screen that will relay conference content and Sibos TV, so people will have a chance to catch up on sessions and interviews they may have missed. Exhibition stands are also a great meeting point and you can use the interactive floorplan in the Sibos App to find the stands you want to visit.
We’ve also placed meeting pods on the balconies overlooking the exhibition halls to provide a secluded area away from the traffic of the hall floor, and a range of experience lounges for you to network, relax or take fun photos.
The Amsterdam lounge celebrates this year’s location with an explosion of orange and is a perfect spot for a selfie or group shot. The ‘My first Sibos’ lounge features a timeline wall of every Sibos since it all began in 1978. Visitors are invited to stamp the year of their own first Sibos. As the week progresses, a picture will form illustrating how our community has grown over the years.
We also have four sustainability lounges. Visitors can see how exhibitors are contributing to a more sustainable Sibos, and we invite individuals to share their own ideas for future events on the suggestion blackboards in each lounge.
Relax and reenergise in the food hall
As a change in the offering for Sibos 2022, lunch is now included with your Sibos pass. We’ve created a huge street food hall offering a range of cuisines, in addition to the traditional seated restaurant. Open from 11:30 to 14:30 each day, guests will be treated to musical performances, magic shows, art installations, games, and can even have a go at making their own candyfloss.
It’s a great chance to energise, entertain, and unplug between conference sessions. Relaxation and rest can help steer innovation and allow ideas to flow more easily, and it won’t hurt to have a bit of fun either!
Connect digitally with networking tools
Whether you are joining in Amsterdam, from your office or from home, you’ll have access to the Sibos networking tools to connect with other Sibos participants. Accessible via the Sibos App and when you’re logged in on sibos.com, the Sibos networking tool provides personalised connection recommendations based on your registration profile, and allows you to search for delegates with similar interests and easily schedule private meetings. You will receive an alert via the app and email when you receive a new connection.
If you’re attending the conference in-person, Sibos 2022 participant badges have unique QR codes. Simply scan a code on your smartphone to receive a vCard containing a new contact’s name, company and email address.
Networking events
We’re also hosting several networking events:
Celebrate the importance of female leadership in the financial industry and hear from record-breaking mountaineer Edurne Pasaban at this year’s Women of Sibos event.
In the Discover area, we’re connecting fintech delegates with other fintechs, bank, software vendor and corporate participants at the welcome event.
For the opportunity to meet local entrepreneurs and fintech innovators as well as global investors and executives across the financial services landscape, register for SWIFT Innotribe’s special offsite event at The Eye Filmmuseum. Spaces are limited so make sure to sign up soon.
Finally, end a successful week and the return to an in-person Sibos at this year’s closing event, which features special entertainment and our last chance to gather as community before we come together for Sibos 2023 Toronto.

There’s still time to register to attend in-person or digitally from 10-13 October 2022.
