Sibos draws an unprecedented number of Chinese financial institutions to Toronto
The MTCC will welcome the largest representation from China in the event’s history
Five Chinese banks, including the Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, Baoshang Bank, China Construction Bank, and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and two market infrastructures, China Central Depository & Clearing (CCDC) and China Foreign Exchange Trade System & National Interbank Funding Center (CFETS), will exhibit at Sibos 2017, making it the largest representation from China in the event’s history .
Commenting on the regional participation from China, Daphne Huang, Head of China, SWIFT, says “Sibos is the venue of choice for Chinese financial institutions to come meet their peers, build networks and contribute to the future of the financial industry. China’s presence at Sibos has been growing over the years and we are delighted to receive such a strong delegation in Toronto”.
The Chinese financial community will be joined by nearly 200 financial institutions, market infrastructures and FinTech providers that will also be exhibiting from around the world. Around 8,000 delegates are expected to attend this year’s event. Key topics include cybersecurity, regulation, geopolitics, AI, blockchain and other new technology trends.
