Sibos hosts a world-class exhibition each year, enabling delegates to visit the industry’s top organisations and benefit from unparalleled business opportunities.
There will be 166 financial institutions, central clearing systems, application and middleware vendors, systems integrators, and consultants exhibiting at ICC Sydney during Sibos 2018. This year’s exhibitors will be drawn from 36 different countries, and there are 15 exhibitors making their Sibos debut.
The exhibitor list is available on Sibos.com, where you can read their profile and find out more about the products and services that will be on show. This year’s exhibition will be spread across two exhibition halls on L1 and L4.
Chantal Van Es, Head of Sibos, said: “The Sibos exhibition brings the world’s leading financial services organisations together to network, collaborate and build new relationships. It’s a unique platform that features all the biggest names, from all around the world, under one roof.”
“This year, there is a number of new and returning initiatives across the exhibition areas that are designed to help exhibitors and delegates really get maximum value from their presence at Sibos.”
The 166 exhibitors will be joined by a host of new entrants to the world’s financial community, with around 40 global FinTech companies, over 30 local start-ups and a number of banks showcasing their innovation projects in the Discover Zone.
Innotribe will also be in the Discover Zone, which is located in the exhibition hall on L4. The Discover Zone will be a visually-stunning space that will bring the latest innovation trends to life.
Bringing the conference to the exhibition floor
The Open Theatres will be returning in Sydney. Open Theatre 1 will be located on L1, with Open Theatre 2 on L4.
The Open Theatres are dedicated stages where exhibiting companies can present their latest research papers, reports or case studies that are relevant to the Sibos community. They provide a flavour of the conference on the exhibition floor, and a chance for delegates to hear how some of the industry’s biggest names are solving industry challenges.
The presentation slots have been quickly filled and presenters are now busy shaping their sessions with insights and speakers. The full programme for the two Open Theatres will be available on Sibos.com in September.
Building on last year’s success, we have increased the number of free Meeting Pods spread across L2 and L4. The Meeting Pods are breakout areas where you can host short meetings. Perfect for those first discussions with a new contact. On L1, there will be a workspace that will act as a quiet and place in which to do any outstanding work from the office.
Power up and take some air in the Sibos Garden
New for this year, there will be five Pit Stops. The Pit Stops will serve free snacks and drinks, such as smoothies and power bars, at certain times each day. They will provide delegates with the opportunity to fuel up during a busy Sibos week. There will be four on L1, with a fifth on L4 that will feature a large seating area.
On L2, there will also be a healthy juice bar and the ‘Grab & Go’ area. Grab & Go was introduced last year as an alternative to the Sibos Restaurant, giving delegates the option to choose from three types of sandwich (vegetarian, meat or fish) which is served with a salad of the day, fruit and dessert.
Van Es adds: “There will be ample seating across the venue and a variety of networking spaces within the exhibition areas, including the Sibos Garden on L4, where delegates will be able to enjoy the Australian sunshine, great views and an ice cream.”
“The Sibos Garden will host early-morning Tai Chi sessions throughout the week, helping delegates to begin the day with a clear mind. Finally, as a souvenir from the week, you will be able to pick up your Sibos Gift from L4 - we’re keeping it a surprise for now!”
Register now for Sibos 2018 Sydney and stay tuned in the coming months for further details about the event.
