Information & Rules of engagement

The Sibos Step challenge will take place from Monday 29 September to Wednesday 1 October (challenge runs from 08:00 to 16:00, steps to be synced by 16:30) and Thursday 2 October (challenge runs from 08:00 to 14:00, steps to be synced by 14:30). The challenge is open to all registered Sibos participants attending the event in person.  

To ensure your steps are counted, please open the Sibos app to sync your activity. The final sync must be completed by the daily cutoff times listed above. 

You can track your progress by clicking on the Step Challenge tile in the Sibos app:

  • Under the ‘Daily’ tab, the top three steppers will be highlighted each day, with the remaining top 10 steppers listed below.
  • By 15:00 on Thursday, the grand prize winner will be revealed under the ‘Weekly’ tab.
  • Top steppers may be featured in Sibos social media posts and the Sibos Insider newsletter.
  • Each participant may only win one prize during the challenge period, with the exception of the grand prize, which is awarded based on the cumulative weekly results. If an eligible participant who has already claimed a daily prize records the highest step count on another day, you may still appear as a top stepper, but that day’s prize will go to the next highest-ranking participant.

Tie-breaker rule

In the event that two or more participants record the same number of steps, the ranking will be determined based on:

  • The participant who reached the final step count first (as recorded by the app).
  • If still tied, the participant who has opened the Sibos app most consistently throughout the challenge period.
  • If a tie remains after applying the above, the ranking will be decided by random draw at the discretion of the Sibos team.

Eligibility to win prizes

While everyone attending Sibos in-person is welcome to participate in the Step challenge, the following are not eligible to collect prizes: Swift staff, Swift partners, Board members and Swift Executive Committee members.

Collecting prizes

The top three steppers will be notified by email at approximately 17:00 on Monday through Wednesday, and at approximately 15:00 on Thursday. Prizes can be collected at the Swift stand (Hall 3, Level 3.1, stand# I057) by 18:00 Monday through Wednesday and by 16:30 on Thursday.

Please note that all prizes must be collected in person.
