2019 conference programme revealed!

The Sibos 2019 London conference programme is now available and promises to inform and inspire.

LSE's Dame Minouche Shafik to open Sibos

Dame Minouche Shafik, Director of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and former Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, will deliver the opening plenary at this year’s Sibos conference.

An economist by training, with a career spanning the worlds of public policy and academia, Shafik has also worked in senior positions at the World Bank, the IMF and the UK's Department for International Development.

Having conducted extensive research on the determinants of investment, the environment, economic growth and globalisation, Shafik is ideally placed to open a Sibos conference focused on ‘Thriving in a hyper-connected world’.

Advertorial: Deutsche Bank on ISO 20022

The decision by major payment market infrastructures and SWIFT to move to ISO 20022 represents an opportunity for banks to improve operational efficiency and reassess existing business models. The industry can expect a significant and complex migration, affecting many areas beyond just core payments processing – but it will be worth the effort, says Deutsche Bank's Paula Roels.

Plan and connect with Sibos Tools

The Sibos Tools have been released for this year’s event, delivering an innovative and simple way for delegates to maximise their experience. Attendees can plan their way through registration, the exhibition and conference, and access the participant directory to start networking and arranging meetings. The Tools are available when logged in on Sibos.com and the official Sibos App, downloadable now on iOS and Android. Visit Sibos.com to read more.
