Practical information
A world-class venue in a world-class financial hub
As the only venue to have hosted both a G20 and a G7 summit, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) is well-suited to an event of Sibos’ scale.
Within a 10 minute walk of most of the city’s major attractions, it’s well connected to a number of convenient and accessible transport links.
Toronto itself has a rich heritage and a multilingual, multicultural population. The name ‘Toronto’ derives from Native American language, and the city is a patchwork of former colonial villages, featuring a number of historical sites. The Sibos team recently carried out a site visit in the city – as detailed in the subsequent blog by Sven Bossu, Head of Sibos.
Headquartered in Toronto, Canada’s financial sector is recognised as one of the world’s strongest and soundest. Read more about a fast-evolving market on Sibos News. The below graphic also outlines the main milestones in the country’s financial history.
Exhibitor Day 2017 – Wednesday 22 March
Next month, the Sibos team will welcome this year’s exhibitors to Toronto. Exhibitor Day provides them with the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the venue and to meet all the key stakeholders and partners.
If you’re attending, please be aware that there have been recent changes to the visa requirements for Canada. Prior to your visit, please review the information provided by the State Secretariat for Migration.
For further details about Exhibitor Day, visit the ‘Exhibition’ section of sibos.com, or contact: Viviane.Holemans@swift.com.
