Do you offer a Visa invitation letter?

We do not provide invitation letters for visa purposes. SWIFT can supply a visa support letter to those with a confirmed registration. When you complete your registration, the option to ‘Request Visa Letter’ is in the registration summary page.

How can I reactivate my Sibos account?

I’m trying to register for Sibos and I have attended the event during one of the last three years.
You will have to reactivate your account by putting your email address. A reset password will be sent to you via email to reactive your account. When reactivated, you will be able to register.

I can no longer attend Sibos, can I have a refund?

A full refund (minus a EUR 200 cancellation charge) of the registration fee paid to SWIFT will be made upon written notification to the Sibos Registration Office before 1 September 2020. Please email registration@sibos.com with your cancellation request. No refund will be made for any cancellations received after 1 September 2020. If you register after 1 September 2020 cancellations are not refundable.

Alternatively, you may transfer your registration to another person within the same organisation. Please note the deadline for registration substitutions is five working days before the opening of the event – Monday 28 September 2020.

I have received a voucher code by the Central Coordinator of an exhibiting company. What do I do with it?

If you have not yet registered, please follow the instructions provided in the email you received and use your CCVK code to begin your registration. On the pass selection page, select ‘Yes’ to the question ‘Have you received a voucher?’ and enter the voucher code. This will provide you with a complimentary week-long Sibos pass.

If you have already registered for Sibos 2020 Boston, contact registration@sibos.com and provide the registration team with your code.

Is there a deadline for registering?

There is no deadline to register for Sibos 2020 Boston; you can do this right up until the event and even register onsite. We do however strongly recommend you register as soon as possible to make the most of Sibos Tools and to secure your accommodation.

My company is not exhibiting, what code do I use to register?

You will need to use your company’s BIC (Bank Identifier Code) or PIC (Partner Identifier Code) code to register for Sibos. If you are not part of the SWIFT community and are interested in participating, you will need to follow the instructions on the ‘Create your account’ page.

Once you have submitted a request to register, the registration team will process your request as quickly as possible. If further information is needed, the registration team will contact you on the email address you provided. If you have provided enough information, your request will be passed directly to SWIFT and you should receive a response within five working days.

What is a BIC or PIC code?

BIC (Bank Identifier Code) codes are required from financial institutions to access the registration site for Sibos 2020 Boston. Each financial institution has a specific BIC code that can be obtained from the SWIFT BIC Directory page.

PIC (Partner Identifier Code) codes are required from SWIFT registered vendors (Solution, Business, Service and Network Partners) to access the registration site for Sibos 2020 Boston. If you do not know your PIC code, please contact: registration@sibos.com

What is the cost of a Sibos pass?

  • Week-long participant pass (4 days) = EUR 3,200
  • One-day participant pass = EUR 1,400 per day
  • Lunch pass = EUR 50 per day

Please note: A maximum of two one-day passes can be purchased. Participants wishing to attend for more than two days must purchase a week-long pass.

Why is my BIC/PIC invalid? How do I register?

You may be entering an invalid/disconnected accreditation code. Please check with your company that you have the most recent code available. If you’re unsure, you may search for your company’s BIC code using the SWIFT BIC directory. Alternatively, you may submit a registration request for SWIFT to review.

Travel & Hotels

Can I book my hotel if I have not confirmed my flights yet?

Yes, you can make changes to your hotel booking online until 1 September 2020. We recommend you book your accommodation and then you can make changes as necessary via the website until the cancellation deadline. After 1 September 2020, you will be liable for any cancellation or reduction in length of stay in accordance with the booking terms and conditions.

What hotels are available?

Once you have registered for Sibos you can access special rates for delegates at a number of hotels within easy reach of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. We recommend you register as early as possible to secure your preferred accommodation.

Sibos Tools & Badges

Do I need ID when on site at Sibos?

Attendees no longer have a photograph displayed on their Sibos badge, and so will now also be required to show a government-issued photo ID upon arrival at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

How can I collect my Sibos badge?

You can either collect your badge from the Registration area at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, or if you are staying at one of the Sibos hotels and have made arrangements for your badge to be collected upon check in, it will be available from Friday 2 October until Sunday 4 October. Please be sure to check the eligibility rules for hotel badge collection during the registration process. The Sibos badges are smart badges, which means that when you click badges with anyone onsite their business card will instantly appear in your portal.

When will the Sibos Tools be available?

Sibos participants can log into Sibos Tools later this year. Sibos Tools is an innovative and simple way for you to manage your personal information and plan your way through registration, the exhibition, the conference and networking events during your visit to Boston. Sibos Tools is designed to ensure you engage with fellow 2020 participants and make the most of your experience, and is available via the official Sibos App, on iOS and Android, and through Sibos.com.

What is Innotribe?

Innotribe, launched by SWIFT in 2008, seeks to reinforce the importance of collaboration when it comes to innovation, supporting all actors in the fintech sphere to move forward together. The Innotribe stage sits at the heart of the Discover area, with a four-day programme providing insights into the banking world of 2030.

What is Talent Thursday?

Talent Thursday is a bespoke programme for the future leaders of the financial services industry which takes place on the fourth day of Sibos. Additional information will be available soon on Sibos.com.

What is the Discover area?

The Discover area brings together stakeholders from across the financial services community to drive collaboration. It enables fintechs and senior decision makers from across the globe to meet and share ideas about customer solutions for a digital-first, data-driven world.

What is the Spotlight Stage?

The Spotlight Stage, a themed stage on the main exhibition floor, will bring together a range of voices from across the industry to tackle a topical issue each day. Morning presentations will set the scene on big issues while afternoons will focus on solutions to these challenges. The Spotlights will be rounded off with tailored networking discussions on the day’s theme.

A Conference programme preview will be available on the Sibos homepage in the coming months, under the ‘Conference’ tab. Please note the complete conference programme will be available in full at the end of June 2020.

How can I get involved?

There are several ways you can help make Sibos more sustainable:

  • You can check alternatives to flying or opt for a direct flight and limit luggage weight
  • When you register for Sibos you can donate 10 euros to support our tree reforestation project to help offset travel to and from Sibos
  • You can use your free public transport pass to get around Boston
  • You can refill your reusable drinking bottle at the water stations located throughout the exhibition hall
  • Exhibitors can refer to the Sustainability guidelines provided in the exhibitor manual to plan a more sustainable stand
  • Exhibitors can repurpose and recycle any unavoidable waste via partnerships with the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center’s C.A.R.E. programme, Save That Stuff and Food for Free.
