Closing speaker revealed
World-renowned Swiss adventurer and environmentalist Bertrand Piccard will deliver the closing plenary at the Palexpo on Thursday 29 September.
Sven Bossu, Head of Sibos, said: “Bertrand encapsulates all of the qualities that financial leaders will need to deal with the opportunities and challenges in today’s financial ecosystem.”

Introducing this year’s streams
There will be four streams running throughout Sibos week.
The Banking stream will focus on payments and correspondent banking, with in-depth sessions exploring the challenges of delivering upgraded service propositions in a highly regulated and increasingly digitised world.
Tackling one of the industry’s defining issues, the Compliance stream will provide delegates with insights into financial crime compliance and counter terrorism financing practice and policy, and also provide information on the tools, tactics and strategies adopted by banks.
In a technology-led industry, the behaviours and attitudes of individuals are a key consideration. The new Culture stream will explore the skills, practices and methodologies that will help the finance sector contribute to society in the long term.
The Securities stream will look at how the sector is deploying technology innovation to drive new efficiencies and develop new services. The sessions will examine the ways in which market infrastructure operators, securities services firms, technology vendors and new service providers are collaborating and competing across the securities markets.

The registration fee for Sibos week remains unchanged for the fourth year running. There is also the option of a one-day participant pass, which may appeal to colleagues keen to attend certain sessions.
Promote your brand
Exhibitors can make the most of their presence at Sibos by taking advantage of a range of advertising opportunities across official Sibos channels, including the website, Sibos Issues and Sibos TV. There are also advertising options available at Palexpo, such as interactive totems, and across the city of Geneva itself.

There are many other functions to explore, and further new features, including a 3D interactive floor plan, will be released in August.

Connect in style
To make networking easier and more informative, the exhibition floor will include a number of new features this year.
This includes East and West Lounges, which reflect the global nature of business. The East Lounge will contain Arabic fabrics, whilst the West Lounge takes inspiration from the work of Mondrian.
