How do I book a space in the Connections lounge?

Meeting spaces in the Connections lounge are easy and free to book via the Sibos app. Watch our Connections lounge video that outlines these simple steps:

  • To get started open the Sibos app and press 'Chat & Connect' or the message icon (top right corner)
  • Now click on the plus icon and search for participants by typing their name or company name
  • Before you can set up a meeting, you'll need to send a message and request to connect
  • Once your connection request's been accepted you can request a meeting
  • In your chat press the handshake icon to start a meeting request
  • Hit the drop-down menu and select ‘Connections lounge meeting’ 
  • Choose the number of seats, day and timeslot (timeslots appear in your local time, so make sure you adjust for CST)
  • Add a message and hit ‘Send request’
  • Head back to your chat to see whether it’s been accepted

How do I cancel a booking for the Connections lounge?

If your meeting is moved or cancelled, please withdraw the meeting in the app so other participants can use the space. Watch our Connections lounge video that includes how to cancel a booking: 

  • Find the meeting in the ‘Chat & Connect’ section
  • Click ‘more’ and select ‘Withdraw this meeting’ 
  • Then ‘Continue’ to confirm your cancellation

 

Can I live stream conference sessions or watch them on demand?

Fully registered digital and in-person pass holders can watch a selection of conference sessions via live stream or on demand until the end of the year. When you log in to sibos.com or the Sibos app, only sessions relating to your pass type (in-person or digital) will appear on the programme.
 

What are the networking tools and how can I access them?

Networking tools are available with your participant or digital pass on the Sibos app. You can use these to connect with other participants before and during Sibos and to schedule private meetings. 

New for 2024, you can also use the Sibos app to book free meeting space in the Connections Lounge, a welcoming space for one-to-one and small group meetings. Tables in the Connections Lounge will be available to book soon, sign up to the Sibos Insider newsletter for all the updates.

What is the Sibos Sustainability Pledge and how can I sign up to it?

The Sibos Sustainability Pledge is part of our commitment to lead meaningful change across the industry. Launching in July 2024, participants can pledge to take at least five specific actions to make Sibos 2024 a more sustainable event. Exhibiting companies can also participate by completing the sustainability questionnaire provided in the exhibitor manual.

Will there be a translation service available for local Chinese, non-English speakers?

Simultaneous translation will be available during select conference sessions for in-person participants at Sibos 2024 Beijing. This will include the opening and closing plenaries, as well as View from the Top, Inside Leadership and Big Issue Debates.

Will I be able to access Wi-Fi in the venue?

To stay connected at the China National Convention Centre (CNCC), international participants can join the free of charge Sibos 2024 Wi-Fi and register up to five devices. 

It’s important you have your passport number and unique Sibos registration number to hand. Your Wi-Fi username will be your passport number, and your password will be your registration number (this can be found in your Sibos registration confirmation email).

4G and 5G will also be available, but please note roaming charges will apply. Please check with your network provider in advance for details of costs.
 

Our company is interested in exhibiting at Sibos 2024 Beijing, how do we do this?

The exhibition floor for financial institutions, Swift partners and relevant industry players with an established relationship with Swift is sold out for this year. Advertising and sponsorship opportunities are still available. Please email advertising@sibos.com for further information.

Is lunch included with my Sibos pass?

Yes, lunch is included with every in-person pass this year and will be available in the Sibos food hall or Sibos restaurant, open from 11:30 to 14:30 CST.

The Sibos exhibition space is open during the following hours:

Monday 21 October 2024, 08:00 - 19:30
Tuesday 22 October 2024, 08:00 - 18:00
Wednesday 23 October 2024, 08:00 - 18:00
Thursday 24 October 2024, 08:00 - 17:30

The Sibos conference programme runs from 09:00-18:00 from Monday 21 to Wednesday 23 October 2024 and from 09:00-17:00 on Thursday 24 October 2024.

Registration at Sibos will be open at the following times:
